Indian Fashion ,Sanjay Garg of Raw Mango

Indian Fashion ,Sanjay Garg of Raw Mango

When I read the concept of Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango, I was totally connected.  I totally agreed with his concept.  And I was amazed that some another fashion designer thinks exactly same way as I am.

Sanjay was born in Rajasthan, north india. Rajasthan is one of the most traditional state of India. There are so many handcrafts still today. I am sure his surrounding makes him think how he thinks about fashion today. It was something very natural to him to think that way.

He made collection with textile from Chanderi, brocade from Vanarasi and soft cotton from West Bengal. India has beautiful amazing traditional textiles and skillful artisans. Sanjay wanted to preserve them.

His concept is totally same as my concept. I also want to preserve Japanese tradition, Kimono which is disappearing.

We tend to buy many affordable up-to-date style clothes, not so durable. I feel like todays fashion is more quantity than quality. I have many clothes, sarees and Japanese kimonos which are really old and they are still in very good condition and I still can wear them long time.

Clothes are so hard to recycle and we are having problem globally.  We should focus on less clothes but better quality and durable clothes.
