The most creative city
I have travelled a quite bit on the world.
I always want to see for the local crafts and fabrics if there are.
The most creative city I have visited was Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh in India. I visited there 12 years ago and it may have changed today.
Chanderi is very famous for beautiful,handwoven silk saree.
The city was old and very traditional. I was totally foreigner there. When I walked in the town center, I could hear sound of loom. Each family had a small house but most of family had a big loom in the center of main room.
I felt the life in people in chanderi is deeply connected to creativity and fashion. And I thought how beautiful to hear loom sound everyday.
