Yes. The fabrics are sourced from real vintage Japanese kimonos and obi sashes, many decades old. This preserves traditional craftsmanship — including hand-dyeing techniques like mud-dyed silk — that simply can’t be replicated by mass production.

1. Are Kimono bags handmade?

Yes, each piece is handmade by craftsman.  We do not do mass-production. Each piece is different and unique.

We use antique, vintage Kimono and Obi fabrics from Japan. They are silk, cotton and linen.

We do not normally make personalized item.

We process orders as quickly as possible, so changes or cancellations may not always be possible. However, if you need to make a change or cancel your order, please contact us immediately by email or WhatsApp. We will do our best to assist you.

Not exactly and that’s intentional. Since each bag is cut from a one-of-a-kind vintage textile, slight variations in pattern placement are normal and are part of what makes the piece genuinely unique rather than mass-manufactured.

Each bag is handcrafted using genuine vintage kimono and obi silk, not printed or synthetic fabric designed to look Japanese. That means every piece carries the original weave, pattern, and texture of a real kimono — so no two bags are ever quite identical.

Yes, customers in the USA may be required to pay import duties or customs fees upon delivery. These charges are set by U.S. Customs and are not included in the item price. The buyer is responsible for any applicable import charges.

Delivery to the USA typically takes 5–7 working days, but in some case it may take up to 10 working days, depending on customs processing and local delivery times.

Delivery within the UK typically takes 2–5 working days, depending on the shipping option selected and your location. Deliveries to mainland UK are usually faster, while remote areas such as Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, and Northern Ireland may take slightly longer.
